Mission
The Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in ensuring product availability and supporting the efficient operation of the Iberia Supply Chain. This position is responsible for leading supply planning and replenishment activities, coordinating product supply chain operations with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of master data quality and system integrity to support effective decision-making and process execution.
Key Responsabilities
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
• Develop and maintain replenishment plans to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory levels.
• Monitor inventory performance, stock coverage, and replenishment parameters, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, manufacturing sites, and local stakeholders to ensure alignment between supply plans and business needs.
• Partner with local and international Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to execute the monthly rolling forecast process and ensure timely purchase order execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance, lead times, service levels and logistics efficiency across manufacturing partners.
• Support annual pricing reviews and negotiations with CMOs to optimize costs while ensuring supply continuity.
• Lead bi-weekly performance reviews with key CMOs to monitor operational KPIs, align on priorities, track strategic initiatives, and mitigate supply risks.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock coverage, and replenishment performance, proactively identifying supply constraints and implementing mitigation plans to ensure product availability and minimize business impact.
• Support product launches, transfers, discontinuations, and other lifecycle management activities from a supply planning perspective.
• Ensure the effective integration of demand forecasts into supply and replenishment planning processes.
Supply Chain Operations & Execution
• Coordinate supply chain activities to support efficient product flow and timely product availability across the Iberia affiliate.
• Monitor supply performance and service levels, escalating risks and and driving corrective actions when required.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Demand Planning, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution of supply plans.
• Support the monthly S&OP process by providing supply insights, risks, opportunities, and inventory projections.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain optimization, process improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Coordinate transportation and product deliveries from CMOs to the local warehouse, as well as occasional international shipments, ensuring timely execution and compliance with shipping documentation requirements.
Master Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement
• Maintain supply chain product master data to ensure accuracy and consistency across planning and ERP systems.
• Support planning system activities, data validation, parameter maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain Supply Chain KPIs related to inventory, service level, supply performance, and replenishment effectiveness.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing planning efficiency, data quality, and operational performance.
• Leverage SAP IBP, SAP ERP, reporting platforms, and AI-enabled tools to develop and enhance supply chain reports, dashboards, and analyses that improve visibility, planning effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making.
Recquired qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• APICS/ASCM certification and a solid understanding of Supply Planning and S&OP processes are highly desirable.
• Proven experience with supply planning systems (preferably SAP IBP) and ERP environments.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, replenishment processes, and supply planning methodologies.
• Experience developing and monitoring Supply Chain KPIs and performance metrics.
• Experience participating in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Supply Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a similar role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
